Free Fitness Center
Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30 – 7pm
Coreclass 5:45 – 6:45pm
The fitness center offers a wide range of equipment from cardio machines, circuit training equipment, as well as mats, balls and bands. People are free to come workout at their own pace with the ability to ask questions on equipment use and recommended exercises for specific needs.
Slow Flow Yoga
Tuesdays; 9:30 – 10:30 am
This class offers the experience of all aspects of yoga through breath/movement coordination at a controlled pace. Alignment, breath work, and mindful movement will help you become your best self. Pre-registration is not necessary. Payment is due before class.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 9 – 10 am
This fitness class is designed for seniors who want to improve their general health and well-being and…it’s fun! For more information, please call 719-385-7920 Ext. 100 and then make plans to join us! $ 5.00 per class if your insurance does not cover it.
American Heart Association Walking Path
This is a sidewalk path that surrounds the property, .33 miles. A water fountain is available in the main building, 1628 W. Bijou Street during normal business hours.
Brain and Balance
Thursdays; 1:15 – 2:15 pm
Brain and Balance class uses some physical exercises, eye exercises and games to help with short term memory, multi-tasking, and physical balance. There are no age requirements, as it is beneficial for folks who are aging and folks who have had a stroke or head injury.
VNA Foot Care Clinic
3rd Tuesday of each month; by appt only
$45 – first visit
$35 – non-first time appts.
The Visiting Nurse Association provides foot care for those who have difficulty doing so themselves. Services are offered on the 3rd Tuesday of the month in the east building of the Westside Community Center at 1616 W. Bijou St.
Appointments are required and may be made by calling Andrea at 618-616–8701 and letting her know you would like to schedule a Foot Care Appointment.
Payments are to be made at time of appointment.
